Bands

  • The Scott Farkus Affair: Friends from Baltimore. They bring the 3 guitar, hammering drum madness.
  • Jet by Day: Friends from Athens GA. We did a split 7" with them. Expect a full on rock assault from them. Their live show sholdn't be missed.
  • The Field Machine: We've played a number of shows with them. Download their MP3's. Drive is Mark's favorite song.
  • The Thumbs: Punk rock. Baltimore boys that bring it.
  • The Prime Ministers: Tortoise, Mercury Program-ish stuff with an old school funk flavor. Brooklyn New York natives. Represent!
  • The Liverhearts: Furious rock from Atlanta GA. They give it up for total rock abandon. We love them and you should too.
  • LandSpeedRecord: Baltimore boys that defy categorization. They're brothers in arms on Ambiguous City. Check them out.
  • Metropolitan: Arlington indie rock trio. I highly recommend checking out their latest CD.
  • Peru: Richmond, VA dance rockers. Check out their page. Check out their MP3's (especially Tiger Beat Pages). Keep your eyes peeled for their live show.

Labels, Distros, and Stores

  • Ambiguous City Records: Home of Scott Farkus Affair, Land Speed Record, Slowwire, Jack McCoys, and others. Mike Hilton from Scott Farkus runs this and has a great roster. The place we like to call home.
  • Two Sheds Music: They put out the split 7" between us and Jet by Day. They're an Atlanta based label who've put out a number of great records over the years. We're very happy to have been able to work with them.
  • Dischord: Dischord Direct is the distribution arm of Dischord Records. If a store in your town doesn't have the Maginot Line CD, tell them to order a few copies from Dischord Direct.
  • Morphius Records: Home of the Oranges, the Fuses, the Uniform, Third Harmonic Distortion, Slow Jets, National Razor FDIC, and a number of old school punk rereleases.

Clubs and Venues

  • Black Cat: DC's punk rock night spot. Now in a newer, bigger location.
  • The Otto Bar: Baltimore's punk rock night spot. Now in a newer, bigger location.
  • The Galaxy Hut: Arlington's indie rock watering hole. Great place to drink. Great place to see smaller shows.
  • The Sidebar: Around the corner from the old Otto Bar. Great smaller venue in Baltimore.
  • Fort Reno Park: Outdoor venue that hosts a summer concert series of DC's local bands. Fugazi plays a show there every year, as does the Dismemberment Plan.
